Anglicare WA Family Housing Program

Provides assistance to families experiencing difficulties in maintaining tenancies or stable family households, and either experiencing or at risk of homelessness, throughout the greater Perth Metropolitan area.

The Family Housing Program provides accommodation to families and assigns housing support workers to each family within its program. The support workers visit on a weekly basis in order to make assessments and collaborate with families to develop a support plan and assist in the transition to sustainable independent housing.

To be eligible for the program, prospective families must have 2 or more children in their full-time care and require assistance to establish and maintain a tenancy.

Armadale Youth Accommodation Service – Parkerville Children and Youth Care Inc

Parkerville, Western Australia 6081

This service provides emergency or crisis accommodation to assist young people aged 15 – 20 years old who are homeless, or at risk of being homeless.

It provides:

– shared accommodation and 24 hour support of youth workers
– independent living programs including financial planning/budgeting,
– tenancy information,
– health and nutrition and cooking,
– referral to specialist services,
– advocacy and support.

ARYA House: At Risk Youth Accommodation – Metro, WA

Perth Metro

ARYA house is a safe environment that provides overnight accommodation for up to 6 young people between the ages of 14 and 17 years, two nutritious meals per day, snacks and laundry services. At least two full-time, skilled staff per shift operate the service between the hours of 5pm and 10am daily.
The ARYA program provides:
  • Overnight accommodation when no alternative suitable accommodation is available
  • A nutritious breakfast and evening meal
  • The opportunity and means to maintain high standards of personal hygiene and care
  • Passes to use public transport as required.

Autism Association of WA

Ngatti House – Metro, WA

Perth Metro, WA

Ngatti House is a residential program based in Fremantle and run by Life Without Barriers. It provides community-based homeless youth services to young people between 17 and 22 years of age, who show signs and symptoms of mental illness while homeless or at risk of homelessness.
The service provides medium-term accommodation and clinical support, and has a strong focus on overcoming social disadvantage and enhancing social inclusion. Since its opening in 2010, Ngatti House has received an average of 37 referrals per year to house young people and assist them in overcoming social barriers.
The service not only focuses on health issues but is also culturally appropriate and based on building self-esteem, social inclusion, recovery and the capacity for young people to achieve their desired goals whilst being supported by their local community.

Avon Youth Community and Family Services

Avon Youth Community and Family Services Inc (AYCFS Inc) provides a wide range of services to youth aged between 12 to 24 in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia.

AYCFS provides supported accommodation, emergency relief, and NILS loans, among other services for youth either experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Balga Family Accommodation Service – Salvation Army

The service provides housing to families who are either homeless or facing immediate risk of homelessness. Para legal support, advocacy and life skills training are key features of this service.

The service also provides: food and meals, emergency relief, financial counselling and a early learning centre for children 0-6 years.

Barts Plus – Family Accommodation – St. Bartholomew’s House

Provides supported, short-term accommodation for small families and single parents requiring low levels of support.

Case workers are available to support parents in order to establish community networks, address individual issues, and obtain appropriate long term accommodation.
