South West Refuge

Provides short-term supported crisis accommodation for women, including those with children, escaping family and domestic violence.

The refuge also provides information and referral for matters such as;

Parkerville’s Young Women’s Programme

Armadale WA 6112

The Young Women’s Programme aims to provide safe and affordable short to medium term accommodation for young women 16-25 years of age (with or without children) who are homeless, at imminent risk of homelessness or who need transitional support in becoming independent.

The Programme specialises in accommodating and supporting pregnant young women with their babies. The Young Women’s Programme currently operates from two different sites – the refurbished Penny Jones House in Kewdale and the Variety Units in Armadale.

Zonta House Refuge Association

Perth WA

Provides crisis and support accommodation for women aged 18 years or older, without children, who have been impacted by family or domestic violence or other forms of crisis.

Assistance is also provided in resourcing transitional accommodation if needed.

Does not provide accommodation for pets, but does assist in finding foster owners for pets in crisis situations.

Richmond Wellbeing

Richmond Wellbeing offers support to people recovering from mental illnesses. In addition to providing housing, the Richmond Fellowship of WA provides a range of support services to people in various residential settings throughout the Perth metropolitan area and the south west.

Wilf Sargent House – South Fremantle

To provide medium term accommodation for up to 6-9 months to single men or couples (without children) who are 25 years and above and homeless. Assessment for accommodation by a caseworker and referral is required. Single rooms – 1 person per room; community kitchen and lounge.

Albany Women’s Centre – Anglicare WA

Confidential location

Supported and/or safe accommodation to women, with or without accompanying children, who as a result of family and domestic violence or other crisis. Breaking the cycle of domestic violence and homelessness, and assisting clients to maintain existing safe accommodation where appropriate or move to stable safe long term accommodation is a key role of Family and Domestic Violence Accommodation and Support.

Anglicare WA Family Housing Program

Provides assistance to families experiencing difficulties in maintaining tenancies or stable family households, and either experiencing or at risk of homelessness, throughout the greater Perth Metropolitan area.

The Family Housing Program provides accommodation to families and assigns housing support workers to each family within its program. The support workers visit on a weekly basis in order to make assessments and collaborate with families to develop a support plan and assist in the transition to sustainable independent housing.

To be eligible for the program, prospective families must have 2 or more children in their full-time care and require assistance to establish and maintain a tenancy.
